At the drop of the green flag for the Orange Blossom 125 at Orange County Speedway (NC), it looked liked Ryan Blaney would be one of the drivers who would be around to contend for the victory late in the race.  Blaney started ninth in the race and appeared to have a strong car early in the event.

“We started off really good,” said Blaney.  “I thought we had a winning car the first 20 laps.”

Blaney's strong run wasn't to last though.  The handling went away on his #10 Super Late Model and he soon started going backwards through the field, salvaging a seventh-place finish.

“It just went to junk after that,” said Blaney.  “We couldn't keep up with those guys.  Hopefully we'll come back at the next race and do better.  It was just tight all through the center and then loose picking up the throttle.  Not the race we wanted, but I think we can do a whole lot better.”

Ryan Blaney's #10 Super Late Model
Blaney will now turn his attention to the next race on the PASS South Super Late Model schedule - the May 7th event at Wake County Speedway (NC).

“We were good there last year” said Blaney.  “Maybe I can take a little frustration out there [ this time around].”
